Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy member Lorcan Moore will return to the country of one of his earlier career successes this weekend.
The Mayo co-driver has teamed up with London-based Sligo driver Anthony O’Brien for Rallye Salamandre in Belgium.
The Mitsubishi Lancer E10 crew previously worked together on the Galway International Rally earlier this year but this is their first time entering an overseas rally as a team.

Based in the town of Hainaut, near the French border, the eight-stage rally is the opening round of the Flanders International Rally Challenge (FIRC).
Moore is a former winner of the FIRC. Back in 2017, he guided Galway Ford Escort driver John Reddington to the championship title.
“I was only 19 then,” said Moore.
“This is my first time doing Salamandre, I did the Boucles Chevrotines Rally back in the day with John and both rallies are based in the same area. It should be good.”
They are seeded at two for the event that gets underway with a shakedown on Friday ahead of eight asphalt stages on Sunday.
